Complex Trust

Complex Trust may have one of the following meanings, depending the context of the term:

1. a trust that under the instrument of its creation or under state law may either dis-tribute or retain income.

2. a trust with a charitable beneficiary.

A complex trust is allowed only a $100 exemption. Former IRC (check if this IRC provision is current here) §§661-663.
