Medicare Hospital Insurance

Medicare Hospital Insurance

Medicare Hospital Insurance means:
a type of federally administered insurance, also referred to as Medicare Part A. A monthly premium is not required in order to receive this coverage if the worker or his or her spouse is entitled to benefits under either the Social Security or Railroad Retirement System, or has worked a sufficient time in federal, state, or local government employment to be insured. Medicare hospital insurance helps pay for medically necessary services furnished by Medicare-certified hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and hospices.
