Passive Activity Loss
Passive Activity Loss means:
since the Tax Reform Act of 1986, income (loss) generated by rental real property and businesses in which the taxpayer does not materially participate. With certain exceptions, passive losses may not offset active or portfolio income. Former IRC (check if this IRC provision is current here) §469.
