Private Operating Foundation

Private Operating Foundation means:
a private foundation that actively pursues its exempt function. A private operating foundation qualifies for the 50% of the Adjusted Gross Income contribution limitation and escapes the 2% excise tax on investment income, but is subject to the other prohibited transaction penalty rules.
