Tax-exempt Income

Tax-exempt Income means:
income, including certain Social Security benefits, welfare benefits, nontaxable life insurance proceeds, armed forces family allotments, nontaxable pensions, and tax-exempt interest, that is exempt from taxation (tax-exempt interest income is the Interest income that is not subject to income tax, a tax-exempt income that is earned from bonds issued by states, cities, or counties in the United States). For purposes of the support test for the dependency exemption, tax-exempt income is included in total support.
