Excess Housing Expenses
Excess Housing Expenses means:
an exclusion available to a person living outside the United States. It is equal to the excess of the reasonable cost of providing housing for a taxpayer and his or her family over an amount equal to 16% of the salary of a federal employee of grade level GS-14, step 1, multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of qualifying days of residence (or physical presence), and the denominator the number of days in the tax year.
