Revenue Agent

Revenue Agent means:
a member of the Examination Division of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Revenue agents audit complicated and problematic individual and business returns, usually at the taxpayer's home or office. They set the scope of the examination and have authority to expand or restrict audits as circumstances warrant. A revenue agent often has a college degree in accounting.
