Social Security Number

Social Security Number means:
an identifying number for the individual that is furnished by the Social Security Administration rather than the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. A social security number is required for every individual taxpayer and dependent. It is the counterpart of the Employer Identification Number (EIN) that is used for nonindividual entities such as businesses, trusts, and partnerships. The taxpayer identification number for most U.S. citizens. You must provide a taxpayer identification number for yourself and for each person for whom you claim an exemption or certain other tax benefits.
