The taxpayer Compliance Measurement Program (TCMP) was a line-by-line audit of the tax returns of approximately 50,000 taxpayers that is performed to gather data for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service to use to determine the best methods for selecting tax returns for audit and to evaluate the level of voluntary compliance.
