Outside Earnings

Outside Earnings

Outside Earnings means:
any non-Social Security income that a Social Security recipient earns. Social Security places restrictions on the amount of outside earnings for recipients of Social Security benefits who are under 70 years of age. Beyond these restrictions, benefits are cut back and sometimes even eliminated, depending on the amount earned and the recipient's age.
